MediaTek Inc

Deals in: System-on-chip solutions, reference designs, chipset solutions, etc

MediaTek Inc is launching a new R&D facility in Bengaluru, the focus of which will be to develop innovative solutions for wireless communications and establish the company’s presence in other core segments like connectivity and home entertainment devices. MediaTek will invest US$ 200 million during the course of the next few years.

TE Connectivity

Manufactures: Electrical connectors, electronic and Internet systems

TE Connectivity is establishing an integrated manufacturing unit in Bengaluru. The US$ 14 billion company is investing Rs 3000 million in this project. The Aerospace Park in Bengaluru is expected to be ready by the end of 2014 as a part of the project. This 26,012.85sqm plant is expected to create jobs in assembling, packaging, moulding, stamping, etc.

Servokon Systems Ltd

Manufactures: Transformers, stabilisers, digital inverters, power conditioning products, etc

Servokon Systems is soon to inaugurate a 5000sqm factory in Ghaziabad. This unit will have state-of-art production and testing facilities. The company is expanding its product range up to 15MVA, in the industrial segment. The company aims to cross the Rs 500 million turnover mark this year.

Larsen & Toubro Construction

Deals in: Engineering, procurement and commissioning

L&T Construction has commissioned a 7.52MWp capacity solar photovoltaic plant on a single roof at Amritsar in Punjab. More than 30,000 panels have been erected on the rooftop of the shed spread over 94,000sqm.
