Monday, November, 16, 2009: The battery industry in India has more than doubled in the last four years and is still expanding at a rate of 13.4 per cent per annum till 2014. This growth can be attributed to the automotive segment as well as to other industrial sections, which are powered by inverter and UPS like telecom, railways, power and other industries. With the country facing power shortage in several pockets, the usage of inverters and UPS has gone up significantly, increasing the usage of batteries as well. In an effort to appreciate the Indian battery manufacturers, we at Electronics Bazaar contacted a large number of industry experts and electronic associations, who shared with us their preferences of battery brands. The result of which is an unbiased listing of leading battery manufacturers in India. We are not ranking them, but only listing them in an alphabetical order.

Amara Raja Batteries

There are many Indian battery manufacturers who are emerging as leading players in the domestic market. Their brands are gaining popularity not only in the metros but also in small cities and towns. Fusion Power Systems
