Results for the PCB industry for October have been released.
As per the findings of the North American Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Statistical Program, IPC has announced the book-to-bill ratio which stands at 1.07 for the month of October 2022.
The total PCB shipments have gone up by 9 per cent as compared to last year. However, in comparison to the preceding month, the shipments in April have fallen by 13.3 per cent.
Shawn DuBravac, IPC’s chief economist said, “Both order and shipment data in October were relatively weak but these data come on the heels of a strong September which has left the book-to-bill in positive territory. Strong bookings in September suggest shipments should remain solid in the month ahead.”
The book-to-bill ratios are calculated by dividing the value of orders booked over the past three months by the value of sales billed during the same period from companies in IPC’s survey sample.
