Rajasthan continues to top RE installation capacity.
September 2022 saw the maximum solar capacity being installed in India. JMK Research and Analysis show a total of 1972MW was installed in the country.
Rajasthan topped the list with 457 MW being installed followed by Maharashtra (456 MW) and Tamil Nadu (381 MW). While Madhya Pradesh installed the highest wind capacity of 324 MW, Gujarat followed with 87 MW.
However, in October 2022 the generation of energy from these RE sources dropped 22% (12,198 MU) when compared to the previous month. The end of peak wind season is one of the reasons this could have happened.
13 new renewable energy (RE) tenders with a cumulative capacity of 1895 MW were issued in October 2022.
