As per reports, PC shipments have declined by 15.3% YoY. in the second quarter of 2022. Post two years of growth, this is the second consecutive quarter of lower shipments. Supply and logistics further deteriorated making the decline worse than what was expected.
In comparison to the pre pandemic era, when the total volumes in Q2 were 62.1 million in 2018 and 65.1 million in 2019; the current state of 71.3 million is still good. However in 2020, the total volumes reached 74.3 million.
Apple ties with ASUS in the fifth position. Acer finds itself in 4th place of this cycle, while Lenovo, HP and Dell continue to lead the market with 44.2 million units being shipped in total. 71.3 million units of desktops, notebooks, and workstations shipped in the quarter, overall.
