EV registrations account for 93% of total registrations.
With a YoY leap of more than 185%, the overall EV sales in India for the month of November 2022 reached 1,19,949 units. November 2021 saw 42,055 units being sold.Â
Accounting for 93.02% E2Vs and passenger-type E3Vs are currently ruling the market. The shares of these categories were followed by E-Cars (4.09%), cargo-type electric three-wheelers (2.77%), and so on.
Uttar Pradesh held the highest EV registration with a rise in sales to more than 16% for the month. This was followed by Maharastra (13%); Rajasthan and Karnataka each with a 9% shared third place. This was followed by Gujarat(7%), Tamil Nadu (6%), and Delhi (5%). Tamil Nadu witnessed a rise of more than 25% in registrations this month, accounting the highest rise in the country for the month.
