According to 6Wresearch report, India Ethernet Switch Market shipments value reached over $200 million in Q1 2016 on back of rising internet users in the country.
The increasing internet users in the country and the adoption of advanced network solutions by the Corporate and Enterprise segment have fueled the growth Ethernet Switches in the Indian Market.
Moreover, fast developments in telecom sector have accelerated the sales of these devices in the country.
The major chunk of market share was captured by TP-LINK and CISCO among the major players in the India Ethernet Switch Market like Juniper, Hewlett Packard, D-LINK and Netgear.
As per the report, more than 30 vendors shipped Ethernet Switches in India among which TP-LINK and CISCO together captured around 34 per cent market share and as many as 7 OEMs shipped above 5,000 Ethernet Switches.
The rising demand is due to emerging application segments which includes Healthcare, Hospitality and e-commerce.
Meanwhile, lack of consumer awareness and absence of essential network infrastructure in villages across the country are some of the major factors restraining the growth in this segment.
