‘Olev’ in the name stands for ‘online electric vehicle’ pointing to the Electric Vehicles-as-a-service platform which the startup is building

With the aim to disrupt the EV ecosystem for trucks in India, Trucknetic, a Delhi-based logistics company connecting truck owners and carriers, recently launched the ‘EVolev’ platform for electric trucks. The startup believes that it will help remove the barriers to the mass adoption of electric vehicles and bring the entire EV ecosystem on a single platform.

The release noted that EVolev (pronounced as ‘evolve’) signifies the evolution of the Indian transportation industry to the new age EVs that are a superior alternative to traditional mobility solutions that are good for Earth, good for business and good for people. ‘Olev’ in the name stands for ‘online electric vehicle’ that gestures to the Electric Vehicles as a service (EV-aas) platform which the startup is building. The company expects to soon witness a revolution in road logistics mobility and the emergence of an EV aggregation platform for commercial trucks in India.

In the backdrop of India’s commitment to have 30 per cent of private vehicles as EVs by 2030 and a significant policy push, the sector is witnessing a major boost from all the stakeholders. Lately, auto manufacturers and supply chain companies are also investing to reach the aspirational goal.

Trucknetic Founder Arham Partap Jain said, “Businesses such as e-commerce, and logistics firms which depend a lot on vehicular transportation, are best placed to be early adopters and market-shapers in the electric vehicle space. Our company sees tremendous potential for electric freight mobility to build a green and robust supply chain for the future. Going fully electric in this manner is one step in transitioning mobility systems to adapt to climate-friendly technology and operations that will not only future-proof the business but also drastically reduce transport-related carbon emissions.”

2019-born Trucknetic is an online transport and logistics company based in Delhi. It aims to simplify logistics needs by connecting truck owners and carriers via a single app. Its vision is to leverage the latest technology advancements to minimize idling and increase profits by efficiently using all the lost miles.
