ISRO-tested & qualified NavIC Receiver Chipsets were also unveiled on the occasion
The Union Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar recently flagged off the first SemiconIndia FutureDesign roadshow in the capital city of Gujarat. The Minister also felicitated the Industrialists & HNIs who collectively pledged Rs. 1500 Crore for catalyzing Gujarat’s startup ecosystem.
It is noteworthy that MeitY had launched a series of SemiconIndia FutureDesign roadshows across the country, in an effort to boost the semiconductor design industry. Chandrasekhar addressed the gathering by saying that the Roadshows have been planned with an aim to inspire the Startups, next-gen innovators and industry leaders to invest in semiconductor design and also help us create a robust semiconductor ecosystem in the country, as envisioned by the PM.
He pitched to the audience, “The time to be a Semicon India Future Design startup is now.” Several industry leaders, both Indian and global, were also present on the occasion.
On the occasion, the minister also unveiled the ISRO-tested and qualified NavIC Receiver Chipsets. These chipsets are ready for deployment in the commercial market.
The minister stated, “We intend to take the Semicon India program to every student, every college and make as many young Indians excited by and participate in the Semicon India journey,” as various industry leaders joined him in making a pitch to young students, startups and entrepreneurs to grab the SemiconIndia FutureDesign opportunity.
