Tata Power, India’s leading power company recently concluded its first ever ‘Act for Biodiversity’ conclave, which brought together impact leaders from the corporate and conservation world. It consisted of discussions on preserving the balance of life and harmonious co-existence of humans and nature on the planet.
Diverse topics like ‘Business and Biodiversity’, ‘Ecosystem restoration’, and ‘The use of technology for conservation’ were discussed in detail at the conclave. The company came up with a three-pronged conservation approach for grassland ecosystem management: clean energy generation, maintaining the ecological balance and sustainable livelihood. As per the official statement, it is based on the first-of-its-kind study commissioned by Tata Power in collaboration with the Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Environment Education and Research (BVIEER), Pune.
The CEO & MD of Tata Power, Dr Praveer Sinha said at the event: “Tata Power is proud to host the first ever ‘Act for Biodiversity Conclave’, to create awareness on biodiversity conservation, and promote responsible actions to achieve a sustainable future.
