This IoT-based ERD is equipped with sufficient power backup
Power storage solutions start-up Su-vastika recently received a patent from the India Patent Office for its IoT-based Emergency Rescue Device (ERD), called EQ MAG PRO. This device has been touted as a first-of-its-kind, providing power backup for critical machines including elevators. The device provides jerk-free operations during outages to avoid panic situations especially when people are stuck inside the elevator during a power cut.
Unlike the currently used Automatic Rescue Device (ARD), the EQ MAG PRO doesn’t require a generator. It is equipped with 15 minutes to 10 hours of power backup. With this freshly-patented device, Su-vastika is looking for partners for licensing across India and abroad.
Proud of the recognition of their ERD technology, Director of Su-vastika Solar Power Systems, Khushboo Sachdev stated: “Our product is uniquely placed to offer relief and support to people who are claustrophobic. At Su-vastika, we constantly strive to reinvent and improvise to make technology easy and practical. We have 35 additional patents in the pipeline and are looking forward to seeing them come to light.”
The 2019-born startup has marked its presence in Africa, the Middle East, and South-East Asia. The company aims to disrupt and reform the solar energy and backup landscape for a sustainable future. Along with solar and lithium battery-based solutions, Su-vastika also provides wifi-based solar solutions. Su-vastika claims to have installed over 200 units in projects with BPTP Terra, M3M Latitude, and Tata Project Limited, among others.
