Chicago-based tech unicorn ShipBob which is a global fulfilment platform, and a US-based supply chain company have recently announced that it has appointed Guillaume ‘G’ Deront as the general manager for Australia. There he will head ShipBob’s current and future business ventures in the regions of Australia and New Zealand. Deront has come to ShipBob from Shippit, where he was leading the sales and success team, while also working with omnichannel retailers and optimising the last mile strategy of the retailers.

Deront has previously held executive positions while working with Google, Gleam Futures and Shippit, now he will be handling ShipBob’s tech-first fulfilment, transparent billing and pricing structures, advanced analytics and global expansion capabilities for Australia, UK, US, Canada and the EU. The current ShipBob platform is working in tandem with quite a few eCommerce tools in Australia which include Shopify, BigCommerce, Amazon, Klaviyo and Gorgias, which offer a wide range of eCommerce solutions.
