Energy Efficiency Services (EESL) has appointed Radhika Jha as its Chief Executive Officer. Jha is an Indian Administrative Service cadre 2002 officer. EESL is a joint venture between NTPC, Power Grid, Power Finance Corp and REC.
Jha, a 2002 Uttarakhand IAS, is known to have been the brains behind Centre’s Integrated Power Development Scheme as executive director in Power Finance Corp, before moving to the state. In July, she had taken over as the secretary of the education department, Uttarakhand. She had formulated the operational guidelines for resuming classes post COVID and is also known to have formulated a detailed strategy to cover up for education learning loss.

Jha was the Secretary to the CM of Uttarakhand from 2017 to 2021 where she assisted the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand on all executive and legislative matters. She was also responsible for monitoring the developmental progress of the state and coordinated with various Ministries/stakeholders on behalf of the Chief Minister’s office.
EESL, in October 2021, had announced the appointment of Arun Kumar Mishra as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on deputation. He was responsible for EESL’s operations across the nation. EESL’s executive vice chairperson Saurabh Kumar had resigned from his duties due to personal reasons in September 2021.
