The company plans to launch 10 new products within the next three years and produce about 1.8 lakh e-scooters a year
Looking to expand its product portfolio and production capacity, HOP Electric Mobility has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan government.
The Jaipur-based EV maker has an 80,000 sq ft manufacturing plant in the city that produces 7,500 units/month. The company said in a statement that it is looking to expand it to 15,000 units/month. The company plans to launch 10 new products within the next three years and produce about 1.8 lakh e-scooters a year.
The EV maker aims to expand its footprint to Gujarat, Telangana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand and plans to open at least 120 dealerships across the country.
Ketan Mehta, CEO and founder, HOP Electric Mobility, said, “This MoU will work as a catalyst as we aim to strengthen our electric mobility system by leveraging futuristic technology and meticulous R&D.”
“We are evaluating different states to set up more assembly units. According to the facilities and support provided by the states, we’ll be investing close to INR 100 crore and generating over 3000 direct and indirect employment opportunities.”
