3 Companies Allotted Plots At Goa’s Tuem EMC

Applications were invited for allotment of plots, including 15 industrial plots (ranging from 2-8 acres) and 45 micro industrial zone plots (300 to 800 sqm)

Three companies have been allotted plots at Goa’s Tuem electronic manufacturing cluster (EMC) by the state government to set up manufacturing units.

Plots have been allotted to M/s Samanvii Digimedia Arts and Solutions Pvt Ltd, M/s Tangentia India Technologies (Pvt) Ltd and M/s Kenkre Generators Sales and Services.
This comes after the EMC received industrial plots in August from the state government following a long delay. The total area at the EMC is around 6 lakh sqm.

The Goa government is developing the EMC at Tuem to address future demands for IT infrastructure.

Applications were invited for allotment of plots, including 15 industrial plots (ranging from 2-8 acres) and 45 micro industrial zone plots (300 to 800 sqm). Currently, nine applications have been received, of which three applications have been approved by the government.

Samanvii Digimedia Arts and Solutions has been allotted over 10,000 sqm of land and the company plans to manufacture IT accessories, electronic manufacturing intermediate kits, consumer electronics (USB pen drives, electronic manufacturing intermediate kits, vinyl turntable, vinyl records, other ECM services).

Tangentia India Technologies has been allotted over 11,000 sqm of land, where it will manufacture universal game consoles.

Kenkre generators sales and services has been allotted around 800 sqm of land for manufacturing uninterrupted power supply (UPS) units.

The key objectives behind the Tuem EMC are to create an ecosystem for electronics industries, to promote local employment and development of nearby villages.

The Centre granted final approval for setting up the greenfield EMC at Tuem and has assured Goa Rs 73.8 crore as grants for the Rs 161.3 crore project.
