Reliance Communications has recently appointed Gurdeep Singh as President and chief executive officer of its wireless business.
Singh will be responsible to drive profitability and higher revenues and become a member on the Reliance management board, an executive decision making body of all business heads within the company, the telco said in a statement.
Singh said, “I am delighted to be a part of the Reliance Group and look forward to an exciting journey in taking Reliance Communications Wireless Business to greater heights”.
An alumnus of BITS Pilani Singh has 29 years of experience in sectors like telecom, home appliances and consumer electronics. Prior to joining Reliance Group, Singh was the chief operating officer, India with Aircel. He has also worked in Hutch (now Vodafone) as director operations for the northern region for about five years.
