Realme, a smartphone and accessories brand, operating under the umbrella of China-headquartered BBK Electronics, has announced local manufacturing plans for several of its products falling in the AIOT range. The brand has partnered with India-based Khy Electronics.
“Our partnership with Khy Electronics will empower us to meet emerging requirements swiftly. India is a focus market for realme and our efforts are always targeted to prioritise consumer needs and equip them with trendsetting technologies. We will continue to cater to the Indian market with consistent collaboration with the ecosystem and make users future-ready,” said Madhav Sheth, Vice President, realme and CEO, realme India, Europe and Latin America.
The AIOT products and accessories, that the company plans to manufacture in India, include realme Watch 2 Pro, realme Buds Wireless, and realme 4K Smart TV Google Stick in India. Khy electronics is in the space of electronics products manufacturing including set top box, IoT Modules, AC Module, Wearable Products such as smart watch, health band, Neck and more.
Located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, Khy Electronics is a recently established EMS company. Its clients include the likes of TCL, Nokia, Lava, Intex, Srocomm and many more. It employees over 1500 people and has 16 SMT lines.
