Wistron India, as part of the Wistron WeCare CSR Program, launched a series of programs to improve healthcare infrastructure and community well being at Kolar. As part of the phase one project, a high-capacity oxygen generation plant was installed at the Malur Government Hospital.
The oxygen plant was inaugurated by K Y Nanjegowda, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Malur, in the presence of Dekka Kishore Babu IPS, Superintendent of Police, Kolar and Hank Hsu, Vice President – Wistron India. Also present on the occasion were Nagaraj M, Managing Director and Senthil Kumar, General Manager, Wistron Infocomm Manufacturing.
“Wistron continues to be committed to improving healthcare infrastructure in the community where we operate. As part of this commitment, we had embarked on the CSR program to extend support and relief through emergency equipment, health kits, safety materials, and food rations, as per need, to government agencies, frontline workers, the poor and marginalized,” said Hank Hsu, Vice President – Wistron India.
Hscu added, “Hospitals are the last defense available for people and a well-equipped facility is the key to good and timely treatment. Availability of uninterrupted oxygen supply at hospitals play a critical role in saving lives and we are pleased to provide the oxygen plant at Malur Government Hospital. This is in addition to the ten oxygen concentrators distributed earlier to various primary and community health centers at Kolar. Wistron India will continue to work with the local community and administration and extend all support as required.”

Under the program, the first initiative was with the Kolar police where 1000 face shields and 10000 masks were distributed to the policemen and officers across the district. This was followed by distribution of 10 oxygen concentrators to various Primary Health Centers and Community Health Centers across Kolar.
“During the second wave, it was noticed that some hospitals had severe shortage of oxygen supply.In close consultation with the district administration, we decided to install this high-capacity oxygen generator plant at Malur GH. We sincerely hope that this facility helps with the much-needed oxygen supply and aids the hospital to take care of the critical needs more comfortably including a possible third wave if it comes. All of us at Wistron would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all the frontline warriors especially the healthcare workers and police.
