As per a report by the Economic Times, Battery swapping infrastructure startup Battery Smart has set up its 100th Swap Station at Kapashera in Gurugram. It said in a statement that it is a significant achievement for the company as it empowers it to service over 5000 vehicles daily.
Pulkit Khurana, co-founder of Battery Smart, said that everyday they see more electric two and three-wheelers rapidly adopting battery swapping as they find it a superior alternative to operating on fixed batteries with limited range availability.The strategic partner-led model offers partners attractive income opportunities, which has helped us scale rapidly and meet the growing EV battery swapping demand in the region.”
Siddharth Sikka, another co-founder of Battery Smart, said that their data and analytics-driven platform drives high utilization from the very beginning and enables us to identify and set up the Swap Stations. It has enabled drivers to double their income by ensuring access to charged batteries within a 1km radius with zero wait time.”
