As per a report by Itp net, Eaton has announced the EMEA launch of its 5P rackmount lithium-ion uninterruptible power system (UPS). It will provide an integrated solution with enhanced network security, extended battery life and remote management capabilities as per the company.
The report added that the 5P lithium-ion UPS uses lithium-ion batteries that give better performance compared to lead-acid batteries. It extends service life up to eight years and reduces the need for mid-cycle battery replacement.
The report added that Eaton’s 5P lithium-ion UPS includes an on-board battery management system (BMS). It will provide up-to-date insights into battery performance, charge cycles, and active temperature monitoring. It will also provide better network security as per the company with the optional industry-first UL 2900-1 and IEC 62443-4-2 standard compliant Eaton Gigabit Network Card.
