New York-based BJG Electronics Group has hired Kent Smith as the president of the company. Before this, Smith worked as the chief commercial officer for Integrated Supply Network. He has also served as the president of the Americas and Asia-Pacific for the Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. It was also the vice president of Sales at Arrow Electronics and led the team that generated more than $4 billion in annual sales.
Smith said, “I am delighted to be joining BJG Electronics and returning to the electronics industry, where I built my career over many years. I feel particularly fortunate to be joining the company on the heels of a series of strategic acquisitions that have strengthened its product and service offerings over the past year.”
Three acquisitions in the past twelve months
BJG Electronics Group has completed three acquisitions in the past twelve months of Connector Tech LLC, Whitmor/Wirenetics and Intro Corporation. The company is a supplier of interconnect and electromechanical products to the OEMs in the defense, commercial aviation, business aviation, space, oil and gas, and industrial markets
