- Intel has set the facility at Salarpuria knowledge city
- The facility will focus on graphics, AI and 5G
According to a report by IANS, global chip maker Intel Corporation will open its new design and engineering centre in Hyderabad on 2nd December. Telangana’s information technology minister K. T. Rama Rao tweeted that this move will further boost Hyderabad”s position as a key product innovation destination.
Four floors on lease for the centre
Intel has set a facility at Salarpuria knowledge city in the IT corridor of Madhapur. It has taken four floors on lease for the centre and it will have a seating capacity of 1,500.
Intel has acquired 100 engineers of Ineda for their skills in graphics, which will be an area of focus of this facility along with artificial intelligence and 5G. Last year, Qualcomm announced $400 million investment in setting up its largest facility outside the US in Hyderabad.
