The Indian video surveillance market is poised to grow to US$ 89.2 million by 2013, and to grab a share of this market, players have been introducing innovative products and solutions to cater to different market needs. Recently, Sparsh, a leading Indian electronics security equipment company, launched its Bravura 650 TVL camera series with Sony Effio-E chip technology. UK Katna, ex-commissioner of police, Delhi, along with the Sony Electronics (Singapore) team, launched the product at Noida.
The event was attended by all major dealers and distributors of Sparsh. Congratulating the Sparsh team for its efforts, Katna said, “It is important that we focus on domestic manufacturing, and for this to happen, the initiative has to come from Indian players. With Sparsh taking up indigenous manufacturing of security equipment like CCTV cameras, it will be helpful in customising the devices as per our environmental and cultural needs, and will also open up more job avenues for local talent.”
What’s new
The Bravura series utilises the latest chip technology from Sony that has a newly developed 960H CCD image sensor. This provides clearer pictures. This camera can generate images in the day/night modes at up to 0.01 lux of minimum illumination (0.0001 lux in active frame accumulation mode). In addition, Bravura has the 2D-DNR noise reduction system, and is equipped with adaptive tone curve reproduction (digital WDR). It provides clear images even in strong backlight circumstances and is suitable for areas where lighting conditions vary.
Shared Sanjeev Sehgal, managing director, Sparsh, “It’s our privilege to have products based on Sony Effio-E technology. This camera has the highest resolution and sensitivity when compared to any of the conventional CCTV cameras available in the industry. Following the success of our Bravura 540 TVL series, we are now expanding our product range to address the new usage patterns. Since the company’s inception, we have been learning from our customers and have been able to tailor make end-to-end solutions to meet their unique needs.” Being a major indigenous manufacturer, Sparsh owns the entire value chain, right from R&D, manufacturing, marketing, sales and distribution, to after sales service.
Reacting to the launch of the camera, Vikas Agarwal, distributor, Eliance Optinet Pvt Ltd, said, “Being the highest resolution camera in the industry, I feel the product has already created a buzz. Loaded with multiple features, this is a new addition to the existing range of analogue cameras, which we feel will create a huge demand in the market.”
Expressing his enthusiasm at the launch, Sparsh’s product manager, Sumit Behl said, “We have been working hard for more than nine years and have delivered various security products to cater to the Indian market. Being an industry leader, for us, it is about delivering on our promise to continuously improve security surveillance standards. We are committed to our mission, and will be working hard to meet the evolving needs of our customers and enabling a safe environment for everyone.”
