TRENDnet’s new long-range PoE+ switches are specifically designed for use in VoIP phone, access point and IP camera applications
TRENDnet, a global leading provider of reliable SMB and consumer networking and surveillance solutions, announced the launch of its two latest long-range gigabit PoE+ (power over ethernet) switches. The new range of switches will allow the customers to network PoE devices for expanding the distance, up to two times, of the current standard.

Extend distance of PoE+ signal
TRENDnet’s new range include 8-Port Gigabit Long Range PoE+ Switch (TPE-LG80) and 5-Port Gigabit Long Range PoE+ Switch (TPE-LG50). Both the models are incorporated with a DIP switch to enhance the PoE+ signal up to 656 feet at up to 10Mbps.
The company’s latest long-range PoE+ switches supports certain switch management features in order to provide an additional layer of network protection and for improving the overall performance. To extend the PoE+ signal, the DIP switch also enables support for VLAN port isolation and QoS.

The new long-range gigabit PoE+ switches by TRENDnet are without fans and suitable for quiet environments that require silent operation. Suitable for reliable high speed PoE networking, these new devices are wall mountable with a robust metal enclosure. The 5-Port Gigabit Long Range PoE+ Switch (TPE-LG50) has a total power budget of 32W, whereas the 8-Port Gigabit Long Range PoE+ Switch (TPE-LG80)’s total PoE power budget is 65W.
