Alibaba Cloud joins SUSE Cloud Service Provider program to meet global demand for cloud-based business-critical applications
SUSE, a pioneer in open source software, and Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Alibaba Group, are expanding their global strategic partnership in public cloud services to meet the rapidly growing customer demand for cost-effective and flexible SAP workloads on public cloud.
Alibaba Cloud has joined the SUSE Cloud Service Provider program. SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications is now available in the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace for customers worldwide.
“Modern SAP systems running critical workloads need to meet the highest standards of availability for their SAP services running in customer data centers or on public cloud environments,” said Naji Almahmoud, SUSE Vice President of Global Alliances.
“SUSE and partners such as Alibaba Cloud are enabling customers to manage complexity, reduce cost and deliver the business-critical services that are powering their own digital transformation,” Almahmoud added.
Dajiang Han, Head of Global Alliances, Alibaba Cloud Global, asserted, “We are delighted to expand our partnership with SUSE. Combining with our strong global infrastructure, we aim to continue to deliver more high-quality products and services to our customers worldwide with efficiency and flexibility.”
Organizations can now run mission-critical applications on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications – a leading platform for SAP HANA and SAP S/4HANA – in the flexible and innovative Alibaba Cloud services.
Together, SUSE and Alibaba Cloud make it easier for customers to deploy SAP workloads on the Alibaba Cloud. Customers can deploy SAP-as-a-Service within a few clicks and fully deploy the services often in less than 30 minutes.
Alibaba Cloud and SUSE also jointly developed and validated a best practice to automate SAP HANA System Replication failover powered by SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability technology.
