Sungevity Enterprises and Mizoram government has signed an MoU to set up the biggest solar power plant in the state.
Based on the MoU signed between Mizoram government and Sungevity Enterprises on April 21, Mizoram is all set set for the biggest solar power plant in the state with a capacity of 100 MW, reported The Telegram.
Officials of Sungevity Enterprises like, Chairman Premjeet Sharma, senior directors Binod Kumar, Aswin Patel and Sanjeev Gharoo, met Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla on Wednesday and submitted the detailed project report to set up the mega solar power plant in the state.
The whole project would cost a sum of Rs 630 crore. Not only the solar power but it will also provide employment opportunity to the local workforce. As per the CM, it would be a progressive step towards the development of Mizoram.
The project was already signed on April 21 at the two-day Mizoram Magnetic Investors Summit to generate solar energy in the state.
