Panasonic’s Global President, Kazuhiro Tsuga today met Minister of Electronics & IT, Ravi Shankar Prasad in New Delhi. The Japanese giant is bullish about the Indian market.
In the last few years, Panasonic is betting big in the Indian market and expanding their footprint in every electronics segment. The minister has urged the Japanese brand to explore various opportunity in the Indian market. “I urged Panasonic to think about great market potential of electric vehicles in India which creates a big business opportunity in the field of Lithium ion batteries apart from other electronics products.” The minister said, in a tweet.
Kazuhiro Tsuga shared that Panasonic is planning to open a refrigerator factory in early next year in India and also pointed out that the company has opened a research and development centre .
The company is also planning to knock the business to business prospect in the country. According to media reports, Tsuga said that Panasonic is happy to expand their business in India and pump in more investments in the country.
