The Anil Ambani-owned Reliance Group’s Internet of Things (IoT) arm has informed that it has signed a pact with China’s Fibocom to bring wireless communications modules and solutions for IoT and mobile Internet to the Indian market.
The partnership will allow innovative design and Next-Gen applications to be launched in the country, which will narrow the gap between India and other developing and developed countries with a robust infrastructure for digital growth, the two companies said in a joint statement on Wednesday.
The Reliance Group firm said the partnership with Fibocom was in alignment with the ‘Digital India’ plan, with a focus on creating citizen-shared infrastructure, management and services on demand, as also data authority for each Indian citizen.
The alliance, according to the two companies, will be for designing and manufacturing wireless modules and providing IoT solutions to enable secure communications among machines, equipment, vehicles and assets over wireless networks.
