Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha is likely to meet promoters of service providers on June 22-23 to discuss the ongoing crisis in the telecom sector.
A leading business daily, quoting an industry source, said that the Telecom Minister has called for a meeting of telecom company’s promoters on June 22 and June 23, 2017.
The inter-ministerial group (IMG), established for resolving financial hurdles of the telecom sector, has called Tata Teleservices, Aircel, Reliance Communications, and Sistema Shyam Teleservices for a meeting on June 12.
The major players – Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, Idea, and Vodafone have been asked for a meeting on June 15 by the panel. The panel has also asked telecom firms to provide their financial details before June 12.
