Class X and Class XII board students of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) will get digitally signed marksheets and pass certificates from the DigiLocker from this year. They will also continue to get hard copies of their statement of marks and pass certificates.
The CISCE has decided to send the academic certificates of the students of its schools to the DigiLocker, a a facility created by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology for under ‘Digital India’ programme for safe storage and retrieval of the academic certificates and other important documents of the citizens.
The DigiLocker provides dedicated personal electronic space in a Government-owned public cloud storage where an individual can keep his or her documents, files or certificates.
To access the digitally signed documents, candidates are required to create an account with the DigiLocker.. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) began sending marksheets and other certificates of its class X and XII board students to DigiLocker for their safe storage and retrieval last year.
