Responding to increasing demand from various fast-growing technology industry sectors reliant on safety and security-critical embedded-software applications, LDRA, the leader in standards compliance, automated software verification, source code analysis, and test tools, today renewed its commitment to strengthening operations in India. LDRA’s direct operations within India has grown the business five times since its inception in 2009.

As the world’s seventh largest economy, India has become a cornerstone in LDRA’s growth strategy. LDRA’s India office, under the direction of seasoned South East Asia Operations Director Shinto Joseph, provides research and development, front-line sales, and technical support to customers in key markets such as aerospace, defense, nuclear, rail, industrial, and automotive.
The LDRA India team also works closely with the Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies and Industries (SIATI) and India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) to initiate and lead local industry initiatives.
LDRA’s investment in India includes its celebrated Embedded Safety and Security Summit (ESSS) — a first-of-its-kind conference focused on the growth of the Indian embedded safety and security industry ecosystem.
Held in Bengaluru, India, June 8–9, ESSS 2016 attracted more than 700 scientists, engineers, safety and security experts, and other embedded-technology industry stakeholders. In its second year, ESSS is an important part of LDRA’s larger Certification Ecosystem Development Program (CEDP) industry initiative, created as a common platform for establishing safety and security practices for embedded designs and applications that originate in India.
Ian Hennell, Operations Director at LDRA said that the success of this year’s ESSS is a perfect example of LDRA’s commitment to their fast-growing software and embedded systems customer base in India, and the outstanding contributions by his team.
