Cockpit automotive electronics specialist Visteon completed acquisition of Bengaluru, India based AllGo Embedded Systems. AllGo develops embedded software/middle ware for automotive and smart phone markets in the multimedia domain with vast experience in Linux and android.

With the connection between smart phone and car electronics system becoming kind of seamless, the expertise in both the areas will help companies to grow faster. Visteon gain such capability with the acquisition of AllGo.
For Visteon, Asia is top market and India is fast-growing automotive market. Visteon strengthens its base in India both to address the growing local automotive electronics market as well as utilize the embedded software talent from AllGo.
The transaction includes AllGo’s technology assets and automotive business and approximately 140 employees – mostly software engineers based in India, supported by sales offices in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
Sachin Lawande, Visteon’s president and CEO affirms that AllGo brings industry-leading multimedia playback and smartphone connectivity software expertise on Linux, QNX and Android-based operating systems, which will greatly strengthen Visteon’s capabilities in developing next-generation infotainment systems.
