The leading power and thermal management solutions company Delta has bagged National Excellence Award from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) at the National Workshop on Rooftop Solar in New Delhi.

The award was presented to Delta for Rooftop Solar Power Projects in the Solar Inverters category recognizing its contributions towards the development of the Indian rooftop solar sector.
The National Workshop was conducted specifically for the rooftop solar industry to launch new policies which will help improve the solar energy sector and serve as a platform for various stakeholders to showcase the latest developments in the sector.
Dalip Sharma, Managing Director, Delta Electronics India along with Niranjan Nayak, Vice President, Solar Inverters, received the award from Piyush Goyal, Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy, Government of India.
“We are extremely delighted to have received this award from the Government of India. This recognition will go a long way in motivating us to deliver better and set new benchmarks for the future,” said Dalip Sharma, Managing Director, Delta Electronics India.
Delta is the top grid tied string inverter supplier in India in the rooftop segment with a total market share of more than 22 per cent. Delta’s total installation capacity to date is 260 MW in both string and central inverter applications.
MNRE also recognized the efforts and contributions made by Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) companies, component suppliers and nodal agencies to the solar rooftop sector by honoring the best performers with awards.
The workshop was attended by more than five hundred dignitaries from Central and State Government, nodal agencies, distribution companies, investors and EPC companies.
