Azure Power has been working closely with the government and has set up many plants prior to this in different states. These plants are connected to respective state grids and they are part of the company’s 900 MW power plant portfolio in 15 states. This also includes India’s largest oprtaional solar power plant of 100 MW under India’s National Solar Mission in Rajasthan.
“We are delighted to make this contribution towards realisation of our Honorable Prime Minister’s commitment towards clean and green energy, through solar power generation,” said Inderpreet Wadhwa, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Azure Power.
Solar power tariffs have come down drastically in the country and this is primarily due to government’s impetus on using green and renewable energy in the coming years.
