The company will be announcing details of its comeback at a press conference to be held in New Delhi on 6th May. It wants to back with full vigour to tap the consumer durables and electronics market in the country.

It was founded in 1963 and the company expanded into electronic products as medical systems and equipments, power line carrier communication equipments, copiers, monitors etc. Making its foray into consumer electronics in 1982, BPL quickly established itself as one of India’s most trusted consumer durable brands.
BPL is currently engaged in the production and sales of medical diagnostic equipments, such as, ECG recorders, defibrillators, patient monitoring systems, central monitoring systems, cardiac stress test systems etc. In the telecom business sector, BPL is also into power line carrier communication equipments, electronic private automatic branch exchanges, IP voice solutions, key telephone products and telephones.
