Security Promotion Group of India (SPGI) has announced that it is conducting a major session on September 1, 2015 in New Delhi. The conclave aims at providing vital information and opportunities to all existing CCTV/alarm systems equipment manufacturers, importers and installers.
It is worth mentioning that SPGI has been closely working with Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) and Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications & Information Technology. SPGI is committed to represent the industry in formulation of various new policies related to the purchases/incentives being declared by the various departments under government of India.
As part of the meeting, Preferential Market Access (PMA) Policy on the purchase of CCTV camera and sensor based alarm systems will be discussed and introduced. This session will be addressed by Ajay kumar, IAS, Addl. Secretary, DeitY, government of India. As per new amended PMA Policy, 100 per cent preference will be given by all government departments to ‘Made in India’ products for procurement of CCTV Cameras (Video) and sensor based alarm system.
The session will also discuss the ‘Public Procurement Policy-2012’ for Micro & Small Enterprise (MSE) of India and how security industry can take benefit of it. The conference will consider the activities of Electronic Sector Skill Council of India (ESSCI) in electronic security domain. Public Procurement Policy will be addressed by R.K.Panigrahi, director, MSME DI, New Delhi.
Implementation of Indian standards on electronic security devices will be done by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This will be directed by senior official of BIS.
According to SPGI, all the sessions will be interactive and industrious. Participants will get influential suggestions from the industry for the related topic and considered as the presentation of the forum.
