February 10, 2015: Adani Enterprises Ltd has inked a pact with the government of Rajasthan to develop India’s largest solar power park in the state with the capacity of 10000MW in the course of next 10 years. The calculable investment to be done towards the park stands close to Rs 40 billion.
The company will establish a solar power project of 5000MW capacity in the course of coming 5 years. The Adani Group will also set up a manufacturing unit for solar and power evacuation systems.
As per an official statement, an investment worth Rs 40 billion has been proposed for this project.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between B K Dosi, MD, Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation (RREC) and Vineet S Jaain, CEO-power business, Adani.
The company release said: “Adani Enterprises… and Government of Rajasthan have signed a MoU to jointly set up India’s largest solar park of 10,000 MW in Rajasthan.”
A joint venture (JV) will be set up between Adani Group—RREC for developing the solar park that comprises projects generation and a manufacturing unit for solar modules and related equipments.
