January 24, 2015: Bosch inaugurates its sixth manufacturing unit in India. The plant, located in Gangaikondan, Tamil Nadu, will facilitate the gasoline systems business to make the manufacturing localised and create cost-competitiveness. The plant has been set up with an investment of Rs 500 million.
The company sees gasoline business as an important arm for the company and the market of same is growing in India. Thus, the new facility will help company gain a stronger market share in India and also a competitive product portfolio.
The plant will manufacture power train sensors, fuel delivery modules and air management components for automotive and two-wheeler systems.
