January 19, 2015: Sunil Hitech Engineers, an engineering firm anticipates to develop about 200MW solar capacity in the following five years in the line of government’s determined target of generating 100GW renewable energy volume by 2022. The statement was given by a top official of the company.
Sunil Hitech India Infra (SHIIL), the infrastructure unit of the company, is presently developing a 5MW solar power plant in Maharashtra under the phase two batch one of Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission.
The NDA government is emphasising on setting up 100GW of solar power by 2022.
While speaking to PTI, Sunil Gutte, joint managing director, Sunil Hitech Engineers said that the the company has the capability to set up huge solar power plants and hence we can easily participate in this mission. He said that the company also expects to add 200MW in its kitty in the coming five years.
He further added that as per the government’s plan of setting up solar parks in the country, the company will participate in the bids which are expected to come up for tendering in close few months.
