January 17, 2015: The Indian consumer durables brand, Bajaj Electricals, has shared the expected revenues are likely to go up by 17 per cent to Rs 55 billion in the next fiscal, i.e 2015-16.
The announcement came when the company launched a new campaign for its LED segment. The company aims to earn revenues of nearly Rs 12 billion from the lighting division. Currently, the LED segment does sale of Rs 920 million, the aim is to double it by next year.
The company also aims nearly 80 per cent of its total lighting revenues coming from the LED segment in next five years.
The company expects to close fiscal 2014-15 with revenue of Rs 47 billion, up from turnover of Rs 40 billion in FY 2013-14.
Bajaj is also taking keen part in India’s 100 smart cities plan of installing LEDs. It has formed a partnership with CISCO for jointly bidding in the projects.
