Around 16 such companies are exploring partnership scopes with Indian firms in the renewable energy sector. This week a delegation of 16 Canadian companies will arrive here to attend the 8th Renewable Energy India Expo 2014.
An official statement by the Canadian High Commission said, “The companies are actively exploring commercial partnership opportunities in India. The strength of the Canadian contingent is clear evidence of their interest in India’s renewable energy market.” The delegation members will arrive to represent Simon Fraser University, Ballard Power, Canadian Solar, Vizimax, NuWorld, New Dawn Energy Solutions, Alpha Technologies, IREQ, Idenergie, Montreal Nuclear Services, Fugesco, Windular Research and Technologies Inc, OPAL-RT Technologies and some more.
These enterprises specialise in solar power, hydrogen fuel cells and small wind-hydro-waste for energy sectors. Some of these companies have already set-ups in India while others will enter the market for the first time. The delegation is supported by provinces like Quebec and British Columbia and this participation is expected to lead to some influential results for both the economies.
