Tuesday, August 12, 2014: A turnover of Rs 18,000 million is sincerely targeted by Surya Roshni from its lighting division in next four years. The company is faring well in its new business section as they recently started working in the light emitting diode (LED) segment.
Managing director of the company B Raju told PTI, “We are eyeing a turnover of Rs 18,000 million from the lighting division in coming 3-4 years.” In the last financial year, which concluded on 31 March, the company’s revenue estimated as Rs 11,257.7 million from the lighting division. An investment of around Rs. 200 million has been done by the company in R&D for LED segment. Raju shared his opinion about expectation from sales in LED, “We are expecting sales of approximately Rs 1500 million ending the current FY from our LED segment.”
The company has also announced plans to enter the home appliance sector and they are eyeing to launch the same by this September. As told by Raju, “We have appointed a well qualified & technical team for our home appliances segment. The team is working on the development of the products and we are hoping it to be launched in mid-September this year.” The company’s exports reach over 44 countries like Europe, America, South East Asia and recently they have started exporting LEDs too in addition to tube-lights and CFLs. LED manufacturing units have been set up at Kashipur and Gwalior plants.
