Monday, August 11, 2014: Jakson Group, a leading power solutions provider, has been awarded with a contract from Delhi Metro Railways Corporation which gives them the approval to set up roof top solar power plants. With these plants DMRC will be able to meet their operational requirements which include lighting in stations.
This deal allows the company to set up solar power plants which will have an aggregate power capacity of 250 Kwp. These plants will be installed at DMRC’s three stations – Pragati Maidan, Anand Vihar and Saket Metro Enclave. Within next six months Jakson Power Solutions will start commissioning these projects. As told by Jakson Group Joint-Managing Director Sundeep Gupta, “”With our expertise and rich engineering heritage, we are positive about completing the projects within the deadline.”
As told in an official statement, Jakson Engineers, a unit of Jakson Group, has entered a Power Purchase Agreement with DMRC. The RESCO model will be followed for the solar plants and DMRC will pay for the units which will be generated by the plants. Jakson group will provide the capital investment for the projects.
