Saturday, May 17, 2014: India’s mobile seva initiative has won laurels at the UN Public Services Award this year. Started by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), the initiative has won the award in the category of promoting whole of government approaches in Information Age.
It is worth mentioning here that UN Public Services Award is one of the most prestigious international recognition of excellence in public service. The mobile seva initiative, that has won the award, is lead by Dr. Rajendra Kumar, joint secretary (e-Governance), DeitY.
The team of the initiative includes Dr. Zia Saquib, executive director, CDAC Mumbai, Kavita Bhatia, additional director, DeitY, Deepinder Singh, sr. consultant, NeGD-DeitY, Kapil Kant Kamal, sr. technical officer, CDAC Mumbai and Manish Kumar, sr. technical officer, CDAC Mumbai.
