Sunday, March 09, 2014: To bank on the solar power encouragements in India, many private companies have shifted energy focus through renewable sources. In a new, Rays Power Infra Pvt Ltd, which was started as a brainchild of IIT Roorkee professors and students, has announced the launch of a solar park in the central state of Madhya Pradesh. The announcement was made at the recently held, Solar Development Summit in Bhopal.
In a bid to revolutionise the solar power sector, Rays Power Infra’s Ketan Mehta annouced the project. The company already owns the largest solar park in the country. The development of solar energy, the renewable and sustainable source of energy, will have long-term impact on the state’s economy. The state of Madhya Pradesh has such geographical location that has abundance of sunlight and hence, the state is attracting such huge projects, believe many analyst.
According to an IndiaPRWire report, this establishment of a solar park will hugely benefit the state as businesses will be able to leverage world-class facilities with ready-to-move infrastructure. This projects will cater to 50 MW solar power capacity and is likely to contribute towards the state’s power generation capacity. Rays Power Infra has solar park projects in states like Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh. Solar parks have become much successful by benefiting large industrial houses and has contributed to economy, as well.
During the launch, Ketan Mehta, the director of Rays Power Infra said, “Rays Power Infra has harnessed solar power and made it available to large number of industrial houses in Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh by setting up solar parks. We want to replicate the model and bring our expertise in harnessing renewable energy for commercial purposes in a sustainable manner to the state of Madhya Pradesh. The Madhya Pradesh government is bullish on renewable energy projects and we are excited to take up this opportunity. We are committed to the development of solar energy in the state.”
