Saturday, February 22, 2014: In a boost to environmental friendly projects in the central state of Madhya Pradesh, the government has reportedly confirmed to assist to support to renewable energy sector entrepreneurs.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the state chief minister, reportedly said that all possible assistance will be extended to renewable energy sector entrepreneurs in the state, in TOI report, while addressing to the investors of renewable energy sector. The industry has specifically called for the help from the government, in Bhopal, on Thursday.
The solar entrepreneurs who visited the minister were Arvind Bansal and Gautam Chopra of DJ Continuum group, Ashok Dutta of Rison Power, Murli of Orange group, Rahul Munjal of Hero Future Energy, Sharad Saluja of Sterling Agro Industries Limited and Parag Sharma of Renew Power Ventures.
The clean energy sector is one of the most important endeavours of the government of India, as it aims to generate a 20 GW solar power capacity by 2022, via the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM). In the meantime, NTPC chairman Arup Roy Choudhary also called on the MP chief minister, on Thursday. He has asked the government to make available its coal block for the proposed thermal power plant in the Khargone district.
