Wednesday, November 06, 2013: Here’s what happens when Art Toy meets Consumer electronics design… literally! Mimoco is in the process of creating some unique mobile accessories. Claimed to be first-of-its-kind, the company has created MimoPower BatteryBot, which is a character-based rechargeable backup battery for smartphones, tablets and mobile devices.
The project has been brought to Kickstarter first by its developers to invite support. According to the company, “To start off, we are committing to ten primary designs from our Animal Critterz and Core Series collections. You can be sure that the styles below will be produced and available once we hit our primary Kickstarter goal!”
The ten primary BatteryBot styles are Larry LobstAh, Shocky Shark, Psy, RayD8, PowAh KowAh, Galaxor, Turbo Turtle, Powly Owly, Pawly PandAh, and Terry Le Bat.
The company has also released an update on its Kickstarter page: We are happy to share with you some of the concept art we’ve worked up and are reviewing internally as potential candidates to be officially licensed and manufactured in BatteryBot form.
There are 17 days to go and the project has 558 backers who have pledged $32,872 so far. The total goal is $65,000.
