Friday, October 01, 2013: Schneider Electric India, a global specialist in energy management, célébrating 50 years of opérations in India, showcased its products, solutions and technology across its multiple business units in Mumbai today. This initiative is part of a 50 city roadshow organised by Schneider Electric to collaborate and share knowledge on how to solve energy and address sustainability challenges. The roadshow – Xperience Efficiency Yatra – started from Delhi on October 1, 2013. This roadshow is to commemorate 50 years of operations in India by the company.Â
The company also announced initiatives to strengthen its brand and retail presence in the Mumbai market – a region that comprises a very important market for Schneider Electric in India. Schneider Electric’s direct presence here ensures the easy availability of all products by connecting with the customer at the ground level and collaborating with channels and influencers to offer a comprehensive set of competitive products and solutions, encompassing the entire product range of Schneider Electric.

On the sidelines of the roadshow, the company organized a national study on the Energy consumption profile of Indian businesses and drivers for clean energy investment in partnership with AEEE. As part of this initiative, Schneider Electric has also announced its new India brand campaign “50for50�. The campaign is aimed at creating a powerful connect with Indians at large emphasizing the need to save energy to ensure access to energy for all.
Xperience Efficiency Yatra across 50 cities in India is a set of events by Schneider Electric that take on the demand drivers that are forcing change: economic and government rebalancing, urbanisation, digitization and sustainable resources. By looking at the latest integrated energy trends and sustainability solutions that will transform how we all work, learn and play, Xperience Efficiency Yatra shows the future of efficiency. Solutions will deliver energy management, energy access, and business process performance answers right across the energy chain, whether at home, at work, across the grid, or in towns and cities.
The event began with insightful sessions by Schneider Electric experts addressing energy problems, industry trends and innovative solutions. An interactive marketplace was also on display showcasing the latest developments in systems, solutions and technology. Solutions across business segments of Schneider Electric i.e. Power, Lifespace, Buildings, Industry, Energy and IT were showcased. The SmartGrid model was a focal point of interest and showcased Schneider Electric’s solutions for cities’ immediate challenges.
The model showed how hardware, software and process expertise within operating systems can come together to build a smarter grid and a smart city to make it efficient, sustainable and liveable. Concepts like Demand Response management, Peak load management, Self Healing functionality in the distribution network, Smart Mobility solutions for Tunnel, Toll and Traffic management, Renewables integration etc were demonstrated.
The Acti 9 range of low voltage modular devices with its Smartlink communication module was another point of interest. Other offerings such as efficient drives and motion controllers along with intelligent building management control systems and datacentre lifecycle services were also on clear display. Solutions that highlighted digitization at all levels of low voltage power distribution and other industrial applications were also appreciated along with solar solutions ranging from grid to residential. Our new solar pump offering was a source of great interest to many customers present there.
All these solutions basically led into one common Ecostruxure platform.
