Wednesday, September 25, 2013: V-Guard Industries, India’s leading consumer electrical and electronics giant has announced the commissioning of the country’s largest solar water heater manufacturing facility at Perundurai, Tamil Nadu.
The plant has the capacity to produce 90,000 units of solar water heaters every year. This plant will be the country’s largest integrated manufacturing facility meant for polymer tanks and stainless steel tanks for the solar water heaters. An investment to the tune of Rs 180 million has been made in this complex including a commercial warehouse spread across 37,500 sqft.
“Our new facility is a milestone for us because it will revolutionize the solar water heater industry in the country. Through this state-of-the art facility, we aim to reach the No.1 position in the solar water heater category in the next two years. With this new plant becoming fully operational, we will also intend to export our products in coming years,” myiris quoted V Ramachandran, Director, Marketing and Strategy, V-Guard Industries.
This facility is expected to produce superior quality products with good performance. Apart from this, it will be available at an optimized cost to the end customers. In the coming years, a portion of this production facility will be used for serving the overseas market.
