Tuesday, September 10, 2013: Mysore has all the potential to grow as an electronics hub of the country, opines India India chief Kumud Srinivisan. The president of Intel India expressed his opinion while addressing a technology leadership talk on ‘Changing technology and business trends — opportunities for Mysore’ on Thursday.
Srinivasan said that Mysore already houses a lot of electronics firms operating in the city, without any help from Global electronics leader China. A TOI report quoted her as saying, “Mysore has many engineering colleges, its own culture of innovation in electronics, and also a great pool of talent. If we can utilise all these resources with little changes in infrastructure, one can expect positive changes. Mysore has one more advantage now — chief minister Siddaramaiah hails from this place. One can make the most of this golden opportunity.”
The event was organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (Mysore chapter). In her speech, she also commented on mobile and computing technology. She said that Android has taken over Apple’s iOS globally in a year’s time.
